Doris J (DJ) Miller, 79 years of age, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023. She was born on February 1, 1944, in Pineville, Louisiana to Bernice and Wiley Murphy. She was the oldest of three children. Doris had three older half siblings.

Doris was dedicated to the Lord. She loved to read her bible daily, pray for others, spend time with family, and was very accomplished in crocheting.

Her grandchildren were her life, and she was generous to a fault.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Anna M. Sweeney and husband Mike; son Woody Gaspard and wife Beth; grandchildren Brandy, Becky, Bethany, Blake Huff, and Gabrielle Vega; great grandchildren Jacob, Logan, Jordan, Tiare, Jesse, Colton, John, and Audrie.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 11am at Forest Park West Cemetery in Shreveport.
