Doris Elaine Jones, (64), of Margate, NJ, lost her battle with cancer on March 20, 2017 at her home in Bossier City, Louisiana.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Auld's Funeral Home in Shreveport.

Doris was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Norman and Anita Mennies.  She spent the first 42 years of her life in New Jersey.  In 1994, the whole family moved from New Jersey to Bossier City, Louisiana. She met her second husband, Charlie Jones, while living in Bossier City.  Doris enjoyed spending time with her neighborhood group of friends including Trina, Paula, and Terri.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband Charlie Jones, her parents Norman and Anita, and her sister Sybil Stahl.

Doris is survived by her children Michelle Friedman Damski (Tom), Jennifer Rando Wattenbarger (Mike), Charles "Chuck" Rando, her niece Jacqueline Layser and Jackie's children Brandon, Tara, and Taylor.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Alan "Chris" Christensen for the extraordinary help and care he provided Doris throughout their friendship and especially during these final difficult months.
