Donna Darlene Coon-Gander

Greenwood, LA. - Donna Darlene Coon-Gander, 63, born June 6, 1959, passed very peacefully from this life to return to spend eternity in Heaven with God, His Holy Spirit and her precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on December 19, 2022. Donna already had many medical conditions but was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension about 6 years ago. These conditions caused much pain and greatly limited her activities in life with her family, friends and her brothers and sisters in Christ. Donna's spiritual life was obviously the most important to her, followed closely by her love for her family. It was her fervent desire to "go home" where she knew Jesus would take away her pain. Donna acted early in life to be saved and was baptized for the remission of sins. She had fought the fight and was ready to go home.

Left behind to celebrate her life are her husband, Gregory A Gander; son, Daniel A Gander and wife Darlene of Greenwood, LA; daughter, Holli D Bowman and husband Adam of Liberty Hill, TX; and brother, Randy Coon of Shreveport, LA. She had 6 grandchildren which were the joy of her life Grace, Anthony, Kayden, Joanna, Paxton & Atlas. There are so many more that truly are family; those that called her aunt Donna were many.  Preceding Donna were her parents, L. Harold Coon and Alice Dean Coon. We will miss her sweet smiles and positive frame of mind. I would walk in and ask her how her day was and she would say "it's better now".

A Celebration of life service will be held at 2pm on January 7th at Midway Church of Christ (3200 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71118). Memorials can be made to Midway Church of Christ or a charity of your choice.
