Donald (Donnie) Wayne Davis Hodge, 65, peacefully passed away surrounded by Sonia, his loving wife of 24 years, as well as his family this past Thursday, September 14th. He lost his battle to an unexpected diagnosis of cancer. He was born November 12, 1957, to the late Jimmy Davis and Jonice Hodge in Shreveport, LA.

He was a loving husband, Dad, Paw Paw, brother-in-law, son, son-in-law, friend, and dog-dad. He enjoyed sharing stories of his travels, as well as RV trips with Sonia, antiquing, fishing, grilling, and most of all, loved spending time with his family. Donnie was a God-fearing man who took great pride in spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Sonia, Donnie is survived by three children (Johnathon Pagel and wife Roxanne, Sarah Stewart Nelson and son-in-law Lance, Donald Matthew Davis Hodge, and fiancé Courtney. Along with them are ten grandchildren (Trever McCart; Kade Pagel; Dustin Stewart; Kaylee Hodge; Destanee Stewart; Mallery Hodge; Isabella Hodge; Easton Hodge; Drew Stewart; Brock Hotard.)

His professional career included 29 years at the City of Shreveport Water T&D and Shreveport Regional Airport, where he served in many roles in various departments. The past 5 years he has spent with Western Global Airlines. Donnie was a true leader who knew the value of training and enjoyed learning new skills himself while training others. Donnie also served in the US Army stationed at Fort Polk.

To honor and celebrate Donnie's life, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Shreveport Baptist Temple, 288 Flournoy Lucas Rd, Shreveport, LA 71106.
