Following a lengthy battle with cancer, Don L. Specht of Haughton, Louisiana passed from this life on March 16, 2021. Don was born to Ethaline and Robert Specht on March 23, 1955 in Abilene, Texas.

Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sabrina Hudson Specht and his father Robert Specht. Left to cherish his memory are his son Chris Specht, daughter-in-law Stacy, and grandchildren Cameron, Aimee, and Emily, Specht, all of Benton, Louisiana; his mother Ethaline Specht of Haughton, Louisiana; his brother Jay Specht, also of Haughton; and his brother Rex Specht and sister in law Teresa of Parker, Colorado.

A 1973 graduate of Haughton High School, Don was a talented craftsman, good and loyal friend, cherished son, valued brother, and an honored and loved father. An inventive man of many talents with the soul of an artist. His interests included spending time with his grandchildren, hunting and sketching wildlife in his early life, then progressing to feeding and caring for the wild birds and animals on his property later in life. After his wife and family, Don's great love was his motorcycle. Riding, customizing, cleaning and polishing that bike brought him great pleasure.

Don's sense of humor, kindness, generosity and loyalty were greatly valued by those that knew and loved him in life. He will be missed and long remembered.

The family will receive visitors at Auld's Funeral Home on March 18, 2021 at 2pm on a come and go basis.
