Dixie Diane Hardesty, was born on December 31, 1947 to Frank and Mary Hardesty, in Weatherford, Texas and passed away on July 23, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was raised alongside her two younger brothers. In the late 1950's her family moved to Shreveport. She was a 1966 graduate of Byrd High School.

Diane was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church – Shreveport. Diane loved the holidays and always made fudge for everyone. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her favorite pastime was feeding her ducks.

Diane worked in her earlier years. The last 20 years she has helped care for numerous elderly people. She will be remembered for her love of caring for others, especially her family.

Diane is survived by her children, Darryl Rayburn of Shreveport and Danielle Giovengo (Joey) of Bossier City; grandchildren, Mary, Frank, Charles, Ashley, Joshua and Katie; great-granddaughter, Aubrey; brother, David Hardesty (Jan); uncle, Don Vann and numerous nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents;  brother, Douglas Hardesty and nephew, Shaun Hardesty.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 4, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Shreveport in the Frost Chapel.
