Dixie Laverne Cook, age 68, of Plain Dealing, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at a Bossier hospital. She was born on July 23, 1950 in Tallulah, LA to John and Vivian Bell. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving partner Jimmy Cook; children: Greg Russell (Kellie), Anita Johnston (Michael), and Stephanie Bachman (Jason); Grandchildren: Stephanie, Rebecka, Robert, Greyson, Reagan, Thomas, Brittany, Bridget, and Nichlas; Great-Grandchildren: Kyleigh, Kaiden, Layla, Aubree, and Madison; one Brother, Perry Bell (Gwen); two Nieces: Felicia and Rachel; one Nephew, Peter.
