Dr. Dennis Alan Northcutt, D.D., age 80, went to be with his Savior on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born August 6, 1941 in Newton, Iowa. Dennis was a proud patriot, faithfully and honorably serving his country in the United States Air Force. Dennis was a decorated songwriter with two platinum and four gold airplay records, and over his career wrote 1500 songs, and produced many as well. He was also an ordained minister who loved the Lord and served him faithfully. He was a lifetime NRA member and conservative who served his community in countless ways.

He was preceded by his loving wife of forty-two years, Mettie Ellen Davidson Northcutt.

Left to cherish his memory are sons Ron Northcutt (Deborah), Vernon Northcutt, and Donnie Young; step-sister Denise Burdett; step-son Beaux Bowman.

Graveside Services with military honors will be held at 11am Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Centuries Memorial Cemetery in Shreveport.
