IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennie Pat
(Morgan) Haynes
August 31, 2024
Dennie Pat (Morgan) Haynes ascended to her heavenly home on August 31, 2024 at the age of 63 in her hometown of Minden, Louisiana after a courageous battle with cancer which displayed her strength and courage in facing life's challenges as she did throughout her lifetime. Dennie Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She passed peacefully as she was surrounded by her loved ones who will honor her memory by carrying on her legacy of strength and courage.
Dennie Pat lived a quiet life full of love from her family and friends. She was one to put other people's needs ahead of her own and was always the peacemaker. She was an avid music lover her entire life and found much joy in watching "her girls" following in her footsteps with their love of music as well. Dennie Pat was a hairdresser for many years who truly cared for her clients' well-being. Her favorite places to be were Beale Street, anywhere in south Louisiana and being wherever her girls were. She loved spending time in the kitchen cooking delicious meals for her family. She especially showed out during the holidays with her fried turkeys, chicken and dressing and crawfish pasta. She was always happy to be fishing, gardening or attending live music events. She will be missed by so many.
Dennie Pat was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Wesley Moore and both of her parents, Dewey Lester Morgan and Gail Cummings Smith.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Suzi Morgan-Prince and husband Dustin; grandchildren, Maite Bean (Gavin), Mali Moore (Andrew), Alexis Prince(Ayden) and Preston Prince; great-granddaughter, Aria Smith; her loving sisters, Amanda Gulley (Paul), Shelly Mathews, April Walker(Judd); numerous nieces, nephews and family members who all miss her dearly.
An intimate celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date. Details will be made available accordingly.
Memorials can be made to Lakeview Preschool (301 Lakeshore Drive
Minden, La 71055) in honor of her great granddaughter, Aria Weslyn Smith.
