Remembering the Life of Deborah Ann Taylor Sibley

Deborah was born January 22, 1956 in Shreveport, LA to Mrs. Roberta Taylor. She accepted Christ at an early age. She later joined Evergreen Baptist Church under the directions of Pastor Charlie Jefferson.

Deborah was born in the Lakeside neighborhood and attended JS Clark and Booker T Washington high school. She was the second oldest of 3 siblings. She later made her mark in the Queensborough neighborhood where she was affectionately known as "Debo". She dedicated 16 years of service as a Certified Nurses Assistant to LSU Medical Center.

Deborah united in holy matrimony to the late Calvin Jean Sibley. To this union 3 children were born: Demond Taylor Sr, Tamieka Sibley, and Sherrie Wright. She would often say she had a bonus daughter in Angelique McCall-Able.

Deborah was the life and laughter everywhere she went. She was no stranger to fun and she never met a stranger. She believed in helping any and everyone she could. She devoted her latest years to God, her mom, children, and especially her grandchildren.

Deborah is also survived by: her beautiful mother, Roberta Taylor; 2 sisters, Essie Cooper (Ivory) and Jacqueline Taylor; 1 sister-in-law, Bobbie and 1 brother-in-law, Alvin; 2 aunts, Mary Mayfield (Earnest) and Helen Moody; 1 uncle, Charles Jones, 18 grandchildren: Brittney, Shy'Tierra, Shamarie', Kira, Tamea, Demond Jr, Ahmaud, Quay, Amiyah, Aubrey, Warren, Deitrick, Taylar Deann, Brooklyn, Ce'Mirreyah, Tia, D'Mega, and D'Cyber; 9 great grandchildren: Loghan, Kynndle, Beau, Jermany, Jhaci, Maxx, Carter, Tylar, and Jayce. 1 Godchild, Nelaj. 1 niece, Melanie. 1 nephew, Ivory Jr. 1 great niece and nephew Christina and Nicholas. And a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones.

Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Sibley; grandmother, Emma Wright; uncle, James Wright; aunt, Loretta Jones; son-in-law, Marcus Wright; and godson, Charzavious.
