Obituary

On May 21, 2021, Debbie Guin, mother, sister and friend left this earth to join her mother, father, and grandparents in Heaven. Debbie is living a new, wonderful life free of pain and disease and is whole again with our Heavenly Father.

A special memorial will be held at Aulds Funeral Home on Friday, May 28, 2021, at 2 p.m .  Officiating the service will be Brother Johnnie Dunn.

D ebbie was born Sept. 29, 1959, in Augusta, Georgia.

In Debbie's younger years she struggled with addiction, which contributed to mental illness. However, w ith the birth of her daughter, Tiffany, she worked hard to transform her life. She loved Tiffany so much, and while she was extremely strong willed, the disease was stronger.  Debbie would have done anything in the world for her daughter.

Debbie lived the past 13 years as a resident of Southern Oakes .  The burdens of her past addiction and mental illness did not extinguish the light of kindness and compassion for others she had. She found purpose in helping with Southern Oakes' activities, social events and devotionals. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Southern Oakes for making Debbie feel as though her last years were fulfilling, recognizing her gifts instead of her deficits. Debbie enjoyed life at Southern Oakes and all that she was able to contribute .

Debbie's greatest gift and legacy is her daughter, Tiffany. Tiffany grew into a beautiful young lady , loving wife of Collin Clower, and mother to three precious children: Titan, Maddie and Carter Lee. Debbie is also survived by her sister, Renee Matheny , and husband Joe , one super precious nephew, Quinton Prudhome and wife Lauren; four great nephews, Kiptyn, Slayter, Ryder and Peyton Prudhome; two a unts , Betty Gafford and h usband Earl, and Sally Canada, and a host of cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice for the loving care they provided Debbie during this difficult time.
