David Wilson Weaver, 73, of Chestnut, LA passed from this life Friday, April 26, 2018 at his home with loved ones by his side.

Born November 24, 1945 to the union of Woodrow Wilson Weaver and Ruth Mae Murry Weaver he attended Readhimer School, then Winnfield where in 1962, at age 17, he joined the US Navy. Following his time in the Navy he returned to Winnfield then later settling in Chestnut, La.

He worked as an oil field worker for many years but was best at masonry work. He loved sitting around a fire with family and friends, eating good food, listening to music, and watching his grandbabies grow.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, sister Diane Weaver Corley, brother Charlie Weaver, daughter Lisa Duncan, granddaughter Kristin Campbell, Father-in-law Richard Morehart, brothers-in-law Thomas Morehart and Gary Morehart.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Marcia Morehart Weaver, daughters Danelli (RJ Coolman) Weaver, of Goldonna, LA, Sarah (Brad) Peveto, of Bentonville, AR, sons Jason Weaver, of Goldonna, Chad (Melissa) Weaver, of Weston, LA, mother-in-law Alice Morehart of Milton, WI, brother-in-law Joe (Kathy) Morehart, of Edgerton, WI Grandchildren Amber (Mike) Burleson of Shreveport, LA, Ashley (Trent) Davis of Goodland, KS, Ethen Wimberly of Galveston, TX, Charlie (Henry) Grant of Natchitoches, LA, Cameron and Jacie Weaver of Winnfield, LA, Ava Long of Winnfield, LA, William and John Faccone of Natchitoches, LA, Patience Dubois and Jolee Weaver of Jonesboro, LA, Michael, Gabby, Natalie, and Curtis Harrison of Weston, LA, Blaine, Hadley, Maggie and Molly Peveto of Bentonville, AR, 6 great grandbabies with 1 on the way, honorary son Michael (Candace) Spears of Jena, LA, long time friend Duck Martin of Goldonna, LA, and a number of nieces, nephews, and other children and young adults he fostered over the years.

A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019, at Pleasant Hill Church, Chestnut, LA. Visitation will be from 2pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:30pm.
