David Kean Shepherd, born July 5, 1968, went to be with Jesus on March 18, 2025, after suffering a massive heart attack. David was born into an Air Force family in Wiesbaden, Germany.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Charles & Inez Shepherd and maternal grandparents Howard & Faye Hirst.

He is survived by his mother Betty Hirst, his father Roger Shepherd and two siblings, an older brother Gregory Shepherd and a sister Yvonne Shepherd, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

David graduated from Bossier High School where he was an avid football fan, never missing a home game. He attended East Texas Baptist University after graduating high school majoring in General Studies and later transferred to University of Mobile with a minor in Christian studies. David was later ordained at First Baptist Church Gulf Shores, Alabama and later accepted a position as Minister to Youth at a church in Montgomery, Alabama where he met and married Beverly Binford resulting in the birth of two children, Rebecca Shepherd 19, and Benjamin Shepherd 15.

David spent several years as a youth minister in Montgomery until his health and eyesight began to fail him. His health deteriorated over the years causing him to be legally blind and requiring dialysis which continued until his death. David was always positive. He never complained about his health, his pain or his condition. He had a positive testimony and was a source of encouragement to anyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers David would like anyone who desires to donate to a ministry operated by a close friend of David.
