IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daryl
Brasell
March 13, 1971 – January 8, 2020
Our Beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend, Daryl Glenn Brasell was born on March 13, 1971 in Baytown, Texas and went home to his Savior on January 8, 2020 at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport, LA. He will be grievously missed by all who loved him.
Glenn's greatest achievement was when he received his degree as an RN. Co-workers and friends attest to me of the many people he nursed back to health and the compassion he carried for each of them. He loved being able to help others and was a very intelligent person who was a great asset to the medical field as an RN for over 20 years.
He was an avid hunter and lover of nature. Kisatchie National Forest was his favorite place to hunt, camp or hike. It brought him much happiness and peace. At a later date his ashes will be spread here as his place of rest per his wishes.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Glenn Brasell; Grandparents, Curtis E. Slaughter and Yvonne (Foshee) Slaughter; Johnny and Ruby Brasell and his uncles, Alfred (Butch) Calhoun and Charles Simmons.
He is survived by his mother; Annette (Slaughter) Brasell-Neugent and husband Ronald Neugent of Robeline, LA; one brother Gary Dean Brasell of Natchitoches, LA; Uncle Howard Irvin Slaughter (his best buddy) and wife Mary A. (Mabrey) Slaughter of Vowells Mill, LA; Aunts, Theresa (Slaughter) Calhoun of Vowells Mill, LA; Belinda (Slaughter) Simmons-Ancelot and husband Larry Ancelot of Hemphill, LA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A special heartfelt, "THANK YOU". To the Dcotors, Nurses, and Staff at the Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital for their compassionate and kind care of my beloved son.
