Plain Dealing, LA - A memorial service for Darrell W. Lowe, age 74, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Salem Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Earhart officiating. Mr. Lowe, a native of Plain Dealing and resident of the "Mott Community" passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was an Army Vet and retired IP Wood Products employee of 36 years. He was an avid horseman. Mr. Lowe was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Elizabeth Lowe; brother, Raymond Lowe; and son, Jerry Lee Lowe. He is survived by his wife, with whom he had celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on March 26, 2017, Linda Vaughan Lowe; son, Davis Lowe of Plain Dealing; granddaughters, Tristan Nowosielski and husband Erik of Virginia Beach, Cassidy Lowe of Plain Dealing, and Summer Harris and husband John of Spartanburg, SC; great grandson, Elliot Nowoseilski; brother-in-law, James Vaughan and wife Jerry of Plain Dealing; sister-in-law, Rosemary Vaughan Hood and husband J.L.; special friends, Michelle Cason Gray and Joey Allen of Sarepta. In lieu of flowers, the family ask all donations to be made to the Salem Baptist Church Children's Fund.
