Tuesday
Aulds Funeral Home
5:00 - 7:00 pm (Central time)
Darrell Lane Lafitte Sr., affectionately known as Darrell, was born on October 15, 1959, to Billie Johnston and Vol Lafitte Sr. He entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana, at the age of 66.
Darrell was a hardworking man who took pride in being a mechanic. He had a natural ability to fix things and was the kind of person you could count on when something needed to be repaired. Outside of work, Darrell enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved Elvis Presley, spending time at the flea market, and making memories with the people he loved most. His personality, stories, and the little things that made him who he was will be deeply missed.
Darrell was preceded in death by his father, Vol Lafitte Sr.; his brother, Larry Lafitte Sr.; and his beloved son, Michael Lafitte.
He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his longtime girlfriend, Joann; his daughter, Tonya Barnett and husband Chase; his sons, Jeremy and wife Jade, Tommy Sr. and wife Tiffany, and Darrell Jr. and wife Erin.
He was a proud grandfather to Colby, Anna, Adalynn, Brinley, Tommy Jr., Madison, Brandon, Dakota, Morgan, Bailey, and Christopher.
His memory will continue to live on through his great-grandchildren, Levi, Hadley, Sydney, Tanner, Landyn, Arianna, Charlie, Indy, Maven, Wyatt, and Liam along with many other family members and loved ones.
Darrell will also be remembered and missed by his mother, Billie Lafitte; his brothers, Rodney (Laura) and Vol (Nicki); his sister, Sandy (John); and a host of nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends.
Though his time on earth has come to an end, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rest peacefully, Pappy.
You will be loved, remembered, and missed always.
