Darlene Sue Logue, "Nanny", age 80yrs, passed away July 11, 2022 peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving husband and family. Services will be held on July 18, 2022 at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA at 11:00am with graveside services to be held at 2:00pm at the Northwest Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA
Darlene was born on January 03, 1942 in Somerset, Kentucky to Ernest and Della (Waters) Tarter. The family soon relocated to Dayton, Ohio where she attended high school at Stivers High.
She had the privilege of being married to Melvin Logue for 40 years on October 29, 1982. Darlene worked many jobs throughout her career in order to care for and support her two children but retired from CenterPoint Energy (Ark-La Gas) after 20+ years of service.
Darlene was not just a loyal and faithful wife, but also a devoted mother and dedicated grandmother. She was everyone's mom, sister, or nanny. She would take the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, playing poker with her family, and having many family gatherings.
A woman of many talents, from baking to decorating beautiful cakes, creating gorgeous flower arrangements and thrift shopping.
Darlene is survived by her husband of 40 years, Melvin Logue; Daughter Tammy White, Step-Daughter Melaney Logue, and Step-Son Jonathan Logue; four Grandchildren Margrett Tyler (Husband Thomas Tyler), Dylan White, Stormy White, and Chloe Gilbert; four Great-Grandchildren, Madelyn and Ryan Loveridge, Jayden Deloach, and Elliana Ann; sisters Donna Hagedorn (Husband Richard Hagedorn), and Deborah Arvin; Brother Danny Tarter and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in Death by her parents Ernest and Della Tarter; Son Randy White; Brother Jerry Tarter; and sisters Carole Smith and Gaye Ferguson.
A celebration of her life in her honor will be held immediately following services at Margrett and Thomas Tyler's residence in Stonewall, Louisiana from 3:00pm - 6:00pm.
