Danita Marie Hutto Woodruff, 67, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on December 16, 2025, after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on January 11, 1958, and raised in Belcher, Louisiana.

Danita was the beloved wife of Wayne Woodruff, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage marked by faithfulness and devotion to one another. She was a loving mother to her two sons, David (spouse Kim) and Michael (spouse Kate), and a cherished grandmother to Bryce, Marley, Archer, Milleigh, and Landry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anita Hutto, and by her brother, Tommy. She is survived by her sisters, Dianna, Dora, Doretta, and Dorothy.

Danita devoted many years of her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse, a vocation that reflected her compassionate heart and servant spirit. Known for her hospitality, friendly demeanor, and caregiving nature, she welcomed people warmly into her life. She loved spending time outdoors working in her yard and visiting with neighbors and friends.

As a faithful member of Bellaire Baptist Church, Danita loved to worship, sing in the choir, and gather with her church family for as long as her health allowed. Her faith in Christ shaped much of her life and sustained her family through many difficult years. Though Alzheimer's took much, it did not have the final word. Danita is now fully restored in the presence of her Savior, free from suffering and whole in mind and soul.

Her sons wish to express deep gratitude for the extraordinary love and sacrificial care given to her by her husband, Wayne, from the time of her diagnosis, through years of care in their home, and through his near-daily visits to feed and be with her during her final years in a nursing home. The family also sincerely thanks the staff of Heritage Manor Stratmore for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held at Bellaire Baptist Church, 1210 Bellaire Blvd., Bossier City, Louisiana, on December 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A private family graveside service will follow at Forest Park Cemetery West.
