Daniel Ray Nix, born January 26, 1985, passed away on April 28, 2021 in Bossier Parish, Louisiana.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Jackie Ross Johnson, and paternal grandfather, Jerry Wayne Nix.  Daniel was loved by many and survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife, Katrina Wolcott-Nix, son, Bryson Glenn Nix, and daughter, Saige Makayla Sites, mother, Dana L'Ree Johnson, maternal grandmother, Carolyn Weaver Johnson, father, Brent Ray Nix and girlfriend, Sheila Jacob's, paternal grandmother, Jacqueline Burns Wilson, step-mother, Crystal Lynne Butler, sisters, Kelli Ann Nix and fiance', Thomas Vartanian, Jr., and Kaitlyn Gail Nix, aunt, Sena Johnson Chavez and husband, Jaime' Chavez, uncles, Ross Johnson and wife, Terri Johnson, and Scott Nix, and wife, Liz Nix, cousins, Maria Chavez Scott and husband, Michael Scott, Alicia Chavez Redel and husband, Patrick Redel, Michael Leigh Chavez, and Hailey Elizabeth Nix and husband, Jordan Johnson, nieces, Madison Ann Stimpson, Emily Laine Guertin, Norah Paisley Chavez, and nephew, Jack Ryan Redel, as well as many amazing and wonderful friends.

Daniel loved working with his hands as a skilled carpenter and was creative in his craft.   He also enjoyed skateboarding, camping, cooking, drawing and spending time with his family.

As the memories of his love, laughter and many talents flood our hearts and minds, we will celebrate the life of Daniel Ray Nix on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Highway in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and service will begin at 2:30 p.m. A graveside memorial will be held for the family at a later date.
