Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" Kendrick French, 66, resident of Bossier City, LA, passed from this life on July 16, 2026, in a Shreveport hospital. She lost her battle with Breast Cancer, challenged by several other life-altering physical problems.

Cindy was born on September 14, 1959, in Annapolis, MD, the first of three daughters born to Marvin E. and Wanda Boyd Kendrick of Bossier City, LA. She graduated from Parkway High School in 1976 and Shreveport-Bossier Vocational Technical School in 1982 as a licensed barber. For several years she barbered in her shop, Cindy's Hair Designs, near Oil City. She later worked with her husband in his Allstate Insurance Agency in Bossier City until his death.

She enjoyed cooking and sharing it with others. Cindy grew up with a number of canine family pets and always had one or more dogs in her home. She was last devoted to Bubba and Nimbay, part Pitbulls, a breed she fiercely defended, and they are grieving her absence.

Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas A. French (2001); father, Marvin E. Kendrick (2024); and sister, Connie Kendrick (2025). She is survived by son, Heath Macon; daughter, Katie Macon; sister, Karen Richardson; and mother, Wanda Boyd Kendrick, all of Bossier City; and four grandchildren: Michael Doiel and wife, Delaney, of Omaha, NE; Kaylee Doiel, U.S. Army, South Korea; Dane Macon, Morgan City, LA; and Gage Macon, Orange, TX.

Cindy will be entombed next to her late husband, Douglas, at Hill Crest Mausoleum, Haughton. At her request, there will be no public services.
