Mr. Cornell Brown was born on August 10, 1956, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Mrs. Helen Gazaway Brown Logan and the late Mr. Timothy Brown.

Cornell accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  He attended school in Caddo Parish at Fair Park High School and later he finished his studies at Job Corp, as a welder.

He was never married but he did have a daughter, Marieka Brown, and three beautiful granddaughters.

On Monday, July 22, 2024, God, in his infinite wisdom, called Mr. Cornell Brown's sweet spirit from this earthly life.  He was a son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

Preceding him in death were his father, Mr. Timothy Brown Sr. and brothers, Harry Brown and Timothy Brown Jr.

The memory of the life of Cornell Brown, shall never die but shall linger in our hearts and minds of all of those whom he touched.  This includes his mother, Helen Brown Logan; daughter, Marieka Brown; sisters, Sheila Brown Logan, Bessie Brown Thomas, Yolanda Brown Williams, Shonda Brown Lewis, and Rita Brown Daniels Isadore; brothers, James Brown, Sylvester Brown, and Jimmy Brown; nieces, Lanasha Adger, Anastacia Thomas, Shedavia Carmack, and She'Ray Hunt; nephews, Harry Brown Porter Jr., Tommy Brown, Kenneth Brown, Rufus D. Thomas Jr., DeMario Thomas, Corey Thomas, Pierre Pennington, Michael Pennington, and Maurice Pennington.

We, the family of Cornell Brown, would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest thanks to everyone for their prayers, acts of kindness, phone calls, text messages, and many more expressions of love.  Whatever it was that you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much!  A very special thank you to Pastor, Spencer Marshall, lifelong friend of Cornell's and to Aulds Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life, honoring Cornell, will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115.  The visitation will start at 12:00 PM and the memorial service will start at 1:00 PM.
