Obituary

Haughton, LA - Cordie Marie Little Johnson, a long-time resident of Haughton, Louisiana, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Bossier City, Louisiana. Born March 30, 1922 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Samuel and Cora Little. At the age of six, Cordie was placed in the Geneva Orphanage where she lived happily. She often reminisced of the many fond memories and fun times she shared with the other children at the orphanage. She attended Byrd High School. She married Paul Jones Johnson. She was employed by the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant as a quality control inspector. Cordie loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her best friend and sister-in-law, the late, Mildred E. Smith. She has a special place in the heart of those who knew her. Cordie Johnson is survived by three children, Paul Fargo Johnson and wife, Eugenia, Gean Fielder, and Minor H. Johnson. She has seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Cordie is preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Johnson, her brothers, Harry, Worry, Frank, and Johnny Little and sister, Hazel Little. The funeral will be held at Aulds Funeral Home, Friday, November 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm. The service will be officiated by Chaplin Dana Casey.
