Clayton Matthew Triplett passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the age of 46.  He was born in Charleston, West Virginia. on December 1, 1976, to Sandra Caudle Triplett and Daniel Morgan Triplett.

Clay attended A.C. Steere, Broadmoor, C.E. Byrd, and Louisiana Tech, but has been living in Minnesota for the past several years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna and William Triplett, and Martha and Murray Caudle.  Clay is survived by his parents and sister, Amy Triplett Cassidy, nephews Banyan and Quinn Cassidy, and girlfriend Lisa Karney.  He also leaves behind a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Clay had an infectious personality.  He was a prankster with a wonderful laugh. Clay was beloved by his many friends, many whom he considered brothers.   Clay enjoyed outdoor activities and was an accomplished athlete.  As a child he won multiple National BMX championships. He was also a gifted swimmer.  He swam many years on The Elks swim team, for his mother who was the longtime coach.  Clay began a lifelong love of traveling as a child with his family and continued to travel throughout his life.  Some of the places Clay lived and frequented were Minnesota, Colorado, Ontario, Lake Tahoe, California, and Austin.  And he always loved to come home to Shreveport and Lake Bistineau.

A casual visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Hwy. Shreveport, LA 71115.  A gathering for friends and family will be held at the Elks Club Lodge following the visitation.
