Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Claude Lee Thornhill who returned home to his heavenly father on May 30, 2022.

Claude Thornhill was born to Paul and Oma Thornhill of Shreveport Louisiana on January 25 1953. Claude was a forced to be reckoned with from the very beginning graduating Fairpark High School in 1972.

He was a resident of Shreveport his entire life, a town he loved. Claude lived a full and vibrant life with many friends and never met a stranger. He always focused on making a connection with anyone he met.

Claude had 4 dogs, Levy, Killer, Tom Tom and Tinkerbell that meant more to him than words could describe. He devoted most of his time taking them on walks around the school, teaching them tricks and making sure they were well taken care of.

He absolutely loved to cook. Claude would have huge cookouts as if an army was coming to eat and didn't mind sharing with anyone.

Claude Thornhill's biggest passion in life was music. Rock n Roll was his favorite. He would listen to it from the time he woke till he went to sleep. He always said that music is what makes his heartbeat.

He is survived by two sons Daniel Lee Thornhill and Curtis James Thornhill if Star Ms., a daughter in law Brandi Thornhill. Two grandchildren Dylan Thornhill and Anna Thornhill of Florida and one grandchild Jaidyn Richardson of Star Ms as well as one brother Danny Thornhill and wife Sandra Blair Thornhill and 4 nephews.

Claude is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Oma Thornhill, a daughter Jennifer Lee Thornhill and a brother Vernon Thornhill.

A memorial will be held at Auld's Funeral Home on Friday June 17 2022 from 2 to 4, all are welcome.

Claude Thornhill was a bright star in this often difficult world and will be miss by so many family and friends. We are completely unprepared for this unexpected loss and miss Claude greatly.

"Rest in Peace Claude,

you will forever be in our hearts. We love you"

Remember Me

Don't remember me with sadness, Don't remember me with tears, Remember all the laughter, We've shared thoughtout the years.  Now I am contented That my life it was worthwhile, Knowing that I passed along the way I made somebody smile.

When you are walking down the street

And you've got me on your mind, I'm walking in your footsteps

Only half a step behind.

So please don't be unhappy

Just because I'm out of sight, Remember that I'm with you

Each morning, noon and night.
