Haughton, LA - C.R. Matthews, 71, of Haughton, LA., passed away on June 26, 2018 while at Riverview Care Center in Bossier City.

C.R. was employed at Bossier Automotive Machine Shop for 25 yrs.  He loved his animals and left behind his faithful dog, Shadow. He loved his family and his family loved him dearly.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother Kenneth C. Matthews, Jr. and wife Patty, and his sister Anita Staton and husband Mike, also, numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth C. Matthews, Sr. and Mary Christine Matthews, brothers Paul Matthews, Johnny Matthews, and sister Mary Reed.

A memorial will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018, visitation 5:00 p.m., service, 6:00 p.m., at Princeton Baptist Church.  Brother Darrell Cooper will officiate.

The family would like to thank his caregivers, Riverview, Amedysis Hospice, and Amedysis Home Health for all their prayers, support, and love.
