On Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Chris of Bethany, Louisiana peacefully entered his eternal resting place at the age of 63 after a long, hard fought battle with small cell lung cancer. He was native of Lockport, Illinois. Chris was a USAF Veteran, of which he was very proud to have served his country. He also retired from GM after 31 years of hard work.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence "Gig" Troutman, and his daughter, Kristi Thurman. He is survived by his wife of 19 years Tammie Troutman, his mother Barb Troutman, sisters- Lynn Carter and Laura Oram; his beloved daughter Tia Christian, his grandchildren Christopher Terry, Caleb Wright, Savannah Blankenship, and Nick Wright, 1 great-granddaughter, Ivie Wright, His nephews- Bill Plut, Jeff Plut, Matt Oram, Brandon Wirkus; Nieces-Devan Oram and Liz Carter, 7 great nieces and nephews, and many friends.

As per his wishes, there will be no ceremony or memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice in his honor.
