IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cheryl Ruth
Hyer
August 21, 1947 – September 6, 2021
Cheryl Ruth Hyer, of Shreveport, Louisiana, better known as "Papa", 74, was suddenly stolen from her family in the early morning of September 6, 2021. She let go of the hand of her daughter to replace it with the hand of Jesus, her Lord and Savior. Cheryl was born on August 21, 1947, in Cambridge, Ohio to Don & Ruth (Tillett) Sayre, who, along with her sister, Jan Hasseman, beat her to Heaven. She attended Hoover High School where she met her husband of 22 years, Gene Weimer, and they later had two children, Carrie and Chris. Cheryl held several very different jobs throughout her life, including working as a cosmetologist, manager of a Walmart, and a truck driver, which ranked as the most interesting. Cheryl did not just love, she WAS love, and she leaves behind the following family members who will continue to miss her terribly until they rejoin her in Heaven: daughter, Carrie Hrisafi-Josan and her husband, Catalin; son, Chris Weimer; grandchildren, Kaleigh and Cody Johnson, Saigeon and Jessica Weimer; bonus grandchildren, Theo and Cristina Hrisafi-Josan; and her dog baby, Winnie. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Lifewater Church on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in the form of blood or monetary donations to LifeShare Blood Center (LifeShare.org), or The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research (Lustgarten.org).
