Shreveport, LA - Private services will be held for Charles David Stampley Sr. 67, who died peacefully at home in Shreveport December 14, 2013 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Naomi Stampley and beloved sister Patricia Stampley McNeil. Charles was born March 9, 1946 and grew up in Bradley Arkansas before moving to Shreveport. He graduated from Woodlawn High School and served in both the United States Marine Corps Reserve and Louisiana Army National Guard. He retired from Lucent Technologies in Shreveport and was a lifelong NASCAR fan. He is survived by his brother Jimmy of Marshall, Texas, his friend Carol, her daughter Angie, sons Charles, Jason, and Brett and grandchildren Charles, Blanche, Jack, Adam, Ashley, Sofiya, Judah, Jonah, Taylor, Shelby, and Justin as well as numerous nieces and nephews
