Charles David Oden, 67 years old, passed from this life to be with the Lord, on September 23, in Shreveport, LA.
He was born on September 29, 1955, in Pauls Valley, OK to Charles William Oden, and Gertie Lavone Oden, who have preceded him in death.

David was a member of Kings Temple, until he couldn't attend because of his health.
He taught Sunday School there, and also taught at Heritage Manor.
He loved watching services online and worshipped from his home.
David had a great passion for reading and studying the Bible. He taught and encouraged many people.
He read hundreds of books and could remember and tell you about each of them.

David had a smooth, deep voice and was a DJ at two local radio stations. He also recorded many commercials.
He worked at Christian Life Tapes and Books where he met many friends.
His last job was at Kroger, where he worked until his health declined.

David loved his family and friends. If he knew you and loved you, he prayed for you passionately.
We miss him greatly but know we will be with him again.

David is survived by two sisters, Sharon McDaniel and husband Phil of Terrell, TX, Becky Byler and husband Robert of Bossier City, LA, niece, Mandie Ballard and family of Mesquite, TX, and nephew, Jeff McDaniel and family of Forney, TX.

There will be a Celebration Of Life for David, October 14th, 1:00 at Grace Tabernacle, 1943 Swan Lake Rd, Bossier City, LA 71111.
