Charles Edwin “Chuck” Mars

Charles Edwin “Chuck” Mars, born February 17, 1961, in Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on June 3, 2026, in Shreveport.

Chuck was a one-of-a-kind person whose presence will be deeply missed by the people who knew and loved him. He had a wonderfully dry sense of humor and a way of seeing things that was uniquely his own. His humor could catch you off guard, but it was often those quiet, unexpected moments that brought the biggest smiles.

Chuck was an avid Gamer and a devoted Texas Rangers fan. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of doing the things he loved, and those interests became a part of the person his family and friends came to know so well.

Professionally, Chuck worked as a Production Manager at the Harrison & Company. He was a graduate of Northwood High School and LSU-S. Throughout his life, he built connections and memories that will remain with those who shared his journey.

Chuck is survived by his brothers, Tommy Mars and his wife, Lyn, and Dorsie “Butch” Mars and his wife, Glenda. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and a great grand-niece and great grand-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Mars and Pat Mars McTee, and his brother, Darrell Mars.

While words can never fully capture a life or the space someone leaves behind, Chuck will be remembered with love by his family. He will be missed for his humor, his individuality, and all the little things that made him who he was. His memory will remain with those who loved him, and he will always be a part of the family he leaves behind. A Memorial Service will be announced in the near future.
