Charles Edwin Farmer, born September 20, 1956, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Calvin Farmer; his brothers, Phillip and Gary Farmer; his father-in-law, Reed Terry; his precious granddaughter, Heaven Weed, and nephew Gregory Farmer.

He leaves behind the love of his life, Tammy, along with his children: Sabrina Battlefield; Ashley and husband Jason Dubois; Christy Farmer; Charlene and husband Johnny Rivers; Jessica and husband Timothy; Bradley and wife Chasity Weed; and Jeremy and wife Michelle. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Nelson, his 17 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, with 2 more great-grandchildren on the way, and his precious furr son Tator, all of whom were the light of his life.

To know Charles was to know a man whose whole world was his family. He wasn’t just a father—he was Daddy. The one you could count on no matter what, the one who showed up every single time, and the one whose love never wavered. His children never had to question if they were loved, because he made sure they felt it in everything he did. He gave his whole heart to being a daddy, and he did it better than anyone ever could.

He was strong, steady, and selfless—the kind of man who put his family first without a second thought. Whether it was offering advice, lending a helping hand, or simply being there, Charles was always the one everyone turned to. He didn’t just raise his children—he shaped their lives with his love, his example, and his unwavering support.

Charles also found joy in the simple things, especially tending to his garden and taking care of the people he loved. No matter how big the family grew, he made each person feel seen, valued, and deeply loved.

Being “Papaw” was one of his greatest honors. He showed up for his grandchildren in every way—from ball games to graduations—always cheering them on, always proud. And no one will ever forget his place in the kitchen at family gatherings, where he proudly held the title of the uncontested king of dressing. That’s where he was happiest—surrounded by his family, feeding them, laughing with them, and making memories that will last forever.

Charles was the heart of this family. His love, his strength, and the way he cared for each and every one of them will never be forgotten. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave so freely will live on in all of us.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never replaced.

Visitation will be held at 12pm Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at the Blanchard Nazarene Church. A funeral service will follow at 2pm officiated by Pastor Delbert Terry.
