Charles Gerald Crotsenburg, 80, of Louisiana, passed away on July 30, 2026, in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Charles was born on December 24, 1945, in Wharton, Texas, to Charles Earld Crotsenburg and Margie Harris Crotsenburg. He was a man who worked hard, loved his family, and lived a life marked by dedication and perseverance.

At just 17 years old, Charles proudly joined the United States Navy, where he served his country for three years. Following his military service, he worked offshore until a back injury required him to change careers. He later found his calling behind the wheel, driving 18-wheelers—a career he continued until his recent retirement.

Charles was a devoted husband, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He shared many years of life, love, and treasured memories with his beloved wife, Gloria Jeanette Crotsenburg.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jeanette Crotsenburg; stepdaughter, Lisa Carpenter; sister-in-law, Kathy Padgett; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will carry his memory with them.

Charles was preceded in death by his stepson, Tracey McCart; his parents, Charles Earld Crotsenburg and Margie Harris Crotsenburg; brother, Donnie Crotsenburg; sister, Joyce Roach; and great-grandson, Nathan Streetman.

Charles leaves behind a family who will deeply miss his presence, his stories, and the memories they made together. His was a life defined by hard work, service, family, and perseverance. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
