Obituary

Memorial services for Charles Michael Alexander will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 @ Auld's Funeral Home. Charlie was born on June 11, 1957 in Shreveport, LA and passed away January 23, 2021 after a brief illness.

Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Alexander; his mother, Frances Waldrop Stewart, and his siblings. He is survived by his step-son William Powell, Jr of Shreveport, LA and wife, Heather.

Charlie joined the Navy in 1974 and was very proud of his service. He was able to travel the world and visit places such as Italy and Japan. While in the Navy, he worked on an aircraft carrier as an airplane mechanic and carried that over into his civilian life after discharge. He worked at Boeing, Continental Express Jet, then for the City of Shreveport Regional Airport.

Charlie was an avid music lover, especially rock and roll. He loved anything Rolling Stones, and was an accomplished guitar player.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles. He enjoyed the sense of freedom that riding a motorcycle gave him, along with a sense of adventure.

Charlie was also a Mason, of which  he was honored to be a member of that organization.

Charlie loved animals and had Tito the cat and Tasha (a black lab) which were a source of joy and companionship for him at different times through the years.

Charlie will be missed by all who knew him.
