Celeste Elaine Alexander Everett, 55, of Doyline, Louisiana, completed her battle with cancer and was called home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2019, in her home, with her husband by her side.

Celeste was born to Elizabeth "Betty" Ann and the late George Hawkins Alexander, Jr. in Wilmington, Delaware.  In the early 1980's she went to work for General Motors and after 30 successful years, she retired in 2014.  An avid animal lover, she had a deep passion for all animals and spent many years working tirelessly for their health and welfare by working with rescue and placement organizations, as well as caring for many at her own home.

In addition to her mother and stepfather, Charlie Kupidlowski, Celeste is survived by her husband, Ted Heard Everett, Jr; daughter, Sheryl Henry (Jerron "Grot"); stepdaughters, Amy Scroggs (Bradley), Bethany Dominguez (Guillermo "Will"), and Misty Everett; sister, Ave Alexander; brothers, George (Nancy), Greg (Lisa), Geoffrey (Lori), Gary, Glen, and Gerry; granddaughters, Emaleigh, Meadow, Gia, and London; step grandchildren, Brianna, Julie, Caine, and Riley; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
