Shreveport -Catherine Pauline Best passed into Heaven on March 19, 2016. She was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on July 2, 1923 to James and Emma Howk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, her parents, two brothers and a sister.

Mom was a faithful Christian example of a mother. After raising her two children, she was employed as a seamstress/designer for interior decorators in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area. We are very proud of her accomplishments. She was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church and most recently a member of Grace Point Nazarene Church.

Surviving is her daughter, Patti Yeatts (Hardy) of Shreveport, and son, Ken Best (Debra) of Sullivan, Illinois. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Teresa Prior (Brett), Michael Yeatts (Lara), Krystin Best and eight Great Grandchildren.

Viewing will be at Aulds Funeral Homes Tuesday, March 22, from 5:30-7:30 PM.

Dr. Rocky Maddox will officiate grave side services at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA on Wednesday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m.
