Carolyn Bamburg Downing, born September 29, 1939, passed away due to a short illness on September 15, 2018, may she rest in peace.  Miss Carolyn was a loving mother and grandmother whose door was always open to whomever needed a place to sleep.  If you were hungry, there was always food on the table; she never turned anyone away.  She was a hard worker who worked at several different factories during her time here on earth, for quite a long time.  Yes, she was certainly tired a lot of the time, but she never complained, nor slowed down.  She was always there for her children and grandchildren if they needed her.  She lived a long, healthy, happy life right up until the end when the angels came and took her to heaven.  She is already well missed, and always will be, but at least now she is no longer in pain and is no longer suffering.  And yes, there were many times when she would drink herself several drinks, and she just thought that she felt good until now, because now she is in a place where there is no pain, only happiness and laughter, and that place is heaven.  She is looking down and smiling at us right now!

She is survived by four children; James, Donna, Lisa, and Marla; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; one sister Kathy Welch.

Miss Carolyn lost her first born child (Frank) just a little better than two months ago on July 4, 2018.  She lost her late husband (James Downing) in 2006, and her first husband passed away in the year of 1989.  She is now with them all and you can rest assured that they are all laughing and having a great time.  I'm sure they wouldn't trade it for anything.
