Carol Webb passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Church for the Highlands on December 21, 2024 at 11:00 am at 520 Olive St. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. John Henson.
Carol was born Colleen Carol Arline on February 3, 1942 at Physicians and Surgeons Hospital in Shreveport. She graduated from Byrd High School in 1960 and became a licensed X-Ray Technician in 1962. She married Clarence Webb Jr. who was the love of her life. She had two
daughters, Martha Richardson and Jeannie Kanode, and one granddaughter, Catie Claire Richardson. Throughout her life she sought out new experiences. She painted, took guitar and piano lessons, attended classes at BPCC and she was an excellent cook. She worked in healthcare her whole career, learning ultrasound technology and then instructing at Southern University Satellite School in downtown Shreveport. She provided support and guidance to many who were interested in and went into the X-Ray field. She was proud of her professional life and developed lifelong friendships. She loved her family and was proud of her granddaughter Catie.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Webb Jr., her sister Barbara Partington and her mother Jean Arline. She is survived by her daughters, Martha Richardson and Jeannie Kanode and her granddaughter Catie Claire Richardson.
The family would like to thank Karen O'Shaunessy and Carolyn Toups who are wonderful neighbors and best friends who were always there for Carol. We would also like to thank all of the tireless caregivers who worked with her in her final years as well as the Amedysis
Healthcare Hospice team for the excellent care Carol received. In lieu of flowers, a
memorial gift in Carol's honor can be to the Caddo Council on Aging.
