Carol Stegall, age 73, was born on February 12th, 1951. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School, class of 1969. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who passed away surrounded by love and light on Sunday, December 15th. Her life was a vibrant tapestry of humor, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Born with a sparkle in her eye and a boundless capacity for laughter, Carol brought joy to all who knew her. She had a special gift for making people feel at ease, brightening any room with her quick wit and warm smile. Her favorite color, Mary Kay pink, perfectly captured her elegant, cheerful, and undeniably unforgettable personality.

Carol shared a remarkable life with her devoted husband, Hurshiell Stegall. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Shane, Dana, Douglas, and Christopher. Instilling in them the values of love, resilience, and compassion. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she took immense pride in each of their accomplishments.

She will be remembered not only for her boundless humor but also for her quiet acts of kindness, which touched the lives of so many. Whether she offered a helping hand or shared a heartfelt laugh, Carol's impact was immeasurable.

As we celebrate her life, we find comfort in the words of John 14:1-3 "Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am."

Carol's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and the countless memories she created. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Yvonne Smith and Johnny Cecil Rogers, and her son, Hurshiell Douglas Stegall. Carol leaves behind her husband, Hurshiell Dean Stegall; three of her children, Shane and wife Christie Stegall, Dana Stegall and fiancé Preston Byrd, and Christopher and wife Jae Eun Stegall; grandchildren Kristen, Austin, and Gracie Stegall; siblings Roger Rogers, Kayla Nealy, and Keith Rogers; life time best friend and first cousin Darla Gandy, as well as a circle of family and friends who will forever cherish her warmth and light.
