Carol Ann (Robbins) Kovach

June 27, 1939 – November 29, 2024

Carol Ann (Robbins) Kovach of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on November 29, 2024. Born in Richmond, Indiana, on June 27, 1939, Carol spent 67 wonderful years married to her beloved husband, Louis (Gene) Kovach. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Alicia Kovach of Muncie, Indiana, and four grandchildren: Christian (Sonya) Kovach of Eaton, Ohio; Stephanie (John) Carlson of Nashville, Tennessee; Katie (Mark) Smith of Dayton, Ohio; and Stacey Kovach of Muncie, Indiana. Carol was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Evan Smith, Samuel Gene Smith, and Elena Faith Smith from Dayton, Ohio, along with seven cherished great-grand dogs. She is fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and June Robbins; her son, Terry Kovach; her brother, Roland Robbins of Atlanta, Georgia; and her sister, Pat Foster of Richmond, Indiana.

Carol and Gene made their home in Shreveport, Louisiana, for the past 39 years after Gene was transferred there by Alcoa as a Technical Representative for the Machine Division. Carol dedicated 26 years of service as a volunteer at Christus Schumpert Hospital before retiring. She was known for her caring nature and her love for visiting her grandchildren whenever she could. Carol enjoyed working outdoors, though she often retreated indoors when the heat and bugs became too much.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Richmond, Indiana.
