Carol Ellen Parker, 57, passed away peacefully on 10/20/2020 surrounded by her family. She was a resident of Sulphur, LA for 39 years.
Born in Glen Dale, WV, she was the daughter of Don and Nancy Baker. In youth Carol was active in 4-H and twice showed the Marshall County Grand Champion Steer. She graduated from John Marshall High School and Belmont Technical College. Carol was a long time employee of the United States Postal Service as a Rural Carrier and she loved her job.
Carol was a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved watching her WV Mountaineers, Pittsburgh Steelers, LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints.
She is preceded in death by her father Don Baker.
Carol is survived by her husband of 34 wonderful years, James (Jim) Parker of Sulphur, LA. Her son James Parker II of Sulphur, LA; daughter Whitney Parker of Bossier City, LA; step-daughter Sundee (Parker) Hunt and children Tell and Summer Hunt, Joshua Hunt, William Hunt and Troy Hunt all of Longville, LA; mother Nancy Baker of Glen Dale, WV; siblings Angela and Tim Merinar of Morgantown, WV, Nancy Jean Baker, Don and Diana Baker, Mark Baker all of Glen Dale, WV. And many many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
