Carol McCarty passed away peacefully with her family at her side on January 22, 2022, in Shreveport, LA at the age of 73.

Carol was born on February 20, 1948, in Longview, TX to Robert Weston and Jesse Joy Stough.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lloyd McCarty. Her daughter, Jennifer Guse and her husband Michael of Kissimmee, FL, daughter, Jeanette CeBallos and her husband Russel of Sanger, TX, son, Mark Mauritzen and his wife Crystal of Carthage, TX.  Her grandchildren, Jessica, Erik and Dalton Guse; Grayson, Raven and Landon CeBallos; and Brittany, Kaitlyn and Hailey Mauritzen.  Great grandchildren, Joydyn, Aiden and Allyson.  Her sisters, Susan Anthony of Carthage, TX and Janet Young of Denton, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Weston & Joy Stough and her sister, Linda Whelpton.

Carol was a graduate of Kilgore College, and she spent the first 41 years of her life in Carthage, TX.  She and Lloyd worked side by side for many years at the businesses they owned in Carthage.  She lived in Orlando, FL and worked for Walt Disney World for a few years before moving to Bossier City, LA for the rest of her life where she decided to start a new career in real estate.  She loved being a realtor and she exceled.  She was a very nurturing mother, but with a strong hand if needed.  She loved her children, husband and fur babies over the years.  She leaves behind her very loved dogs, Susie and Honey who are there to take care of Lloyd.
