Funeral Services for Carey Roberts Salter will be held Saturday, February 25 ^th , 2023 at Christian Church at Minden with Pastor Greg Lee officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and service to immediately follow.

Carey was born February 1 ^st , 1944 in Hilltonia, Georgia and went to be with Jesus on Monday, February 20 ^th , 2023 in Minden, LA. Carey was proceeded in death by his parents John and Mary Salter, brother Johnny Salter and his wife Mary Jane, and son Rob Salter. He is survived by his wife Donna Salter, sister Patricia Waters-Haupt, daughter Tasha Keith and husband Jason, daughter Tiffany Burge and fiancé Ken Brock, Daughter Brittany Culpepper and husband Denton, son Tom Salter and wife Kelly, son Tray Salter and wife Margret, and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Carey retired from KCS Railroad and later worked as a substitute teacher for Webster Parish Schools. Carey enjoyed riding horses, playing cards, being involved in family gatherings, and loving on his sweet baby girl, Juliet. If he wasn't riding horses, you could always find him watching some sporting event.

A special thanks to Hand in Hand Hospice. Thank you to Val, not only his Aid but his friend who kept him on his toes. His nurse Stacia, Pastor Jeff, and Nurse Sandy, who has the voice of an angel and always sang him his favorite Hymns.
