Calvin Ray Lane, age 72, formerly of Bradley Arkansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 11, 2019 at 8:22am, at the Overton Brooks Veteran's Hospital, on Veterans Day.
Calvin R. Lane was a contractor, a father, a brother, a grandfather, an uncle, and a friend to his community. He was a member of the Bradley Methodist Church. A Vietnam Veteran from 1967-1969, where he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, the Sharp Shooter Badge (M-14 Rifle), the Sharp Shooter Badge (M-16 Rifle), and Calvin was honorably discharged from the Army on October 10, 1969.
Calvin is preceded in death by his parents: Marion V. Lane & Charlene E Bennett-Lane. Also his brothers: John T. Lane, James Albert Lane, Marion Virgil Buck Lane Jr.
Survivors include, 3 brothers: David Lane, Charles Lane, and Robert Lane. 2 sisters: Lola Starling and Peggy Price along with multiple nieces and nephews.
Calvin R. Lane has 3 children: Son, Gary Jones and his 2 children Corbin Vinson & Grace Jones; Daughter Tammy (Ronald) Miller and their 2 children Shelby(Cherae)Thompson and James Cody Miller; Son, David (Jessica) Lane and his 3 children, Adriana, Brayden, and Noah Lane.
Memorial Services will be held at the Methodist Church in Bradley Arkansas on November 21st, 2019 at 2pm by Pastor Terrie Lynn Bunnell under direction by Aulds Crematorium and Funeral Home.
