Bruce Scott Keith, age 53, died at his home in Oil City, LA on Monday July 3rd, 2017 following a lengthy illness. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday July 8th at Northwood Baptist Church located at 5924 N Market Shreveport, LA 71107, with burial to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Oil City, LA with Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 12 to 2 pm preceding the funeral.

Bruce was born September 27th, 1963 in Shreveport, LA, to Donald James "Pete" and Barbara Jean Lovett Keith. He lived in Oil City for most of his life. Bruce worked in the oilfield all his adult life in various capacities. He loved vegetable gardening and especially enjoyed offering one of his peppers to taste to unsuspecting visitors! Above all Bruce loved interacting with his children, grandchildren and numerous cats and kittens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gary Donald Keith, and two nephews, William Donald Keith and Gary Eugene Keith.

He is survived by his children, Travis Scott Keith of Blanchard, Trevor Dillon Keith (Autumn) of Blanchard, and Alyssa Marie Keith of Mooringsport, three grandchildren Cameron Jase Philyaw, Winter Brees Keith and Summer Elizabeth Brooke Skolaski. Three sisters Renee Keith Hutchinson and Lisa Keith Parker (Shayne) all of Oil City and Darla Keith Gill (Phil) of Houston, TX. Two brothers, Billy Randal "Randy" Keith and Steven Howard Keith both of Oil City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Shayne Parker, Isaac "Junior" Shoebroek, Randall Shoebroek, John Henry Thomas, Art Thomas, and Jeremy "Utah" Bingham.

There will be a pot luck dinner preceding the funeral at Northwoods Baptist Church from 12 to 2 pm during visitation times and following the graveside ceremony.
