Brian Daniel Watson, 48, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away on May 21, 2026.
Born on September 16, 1977, Brian spent much of his life working as an auto mechanic, a profession that reflected his hardworking nature and willingness to help others. While he took pride in his work and the skills he built over the years, the role he treasured most in life was being a dad. His children were his greatest joy and one of the proudest parts of who he was.
Brian was truly a big kid at heart. He carried a playful spirit that kept life fun and lighthearted and had a way of making people smile, even during ordinary moments. He was deeply caring and known for his generous heart—someone who would give the shirt off his back to help another person if he could. Those who knew Brian knew the size of his heart. He loved deeply, cared sincerely, and showed kindness in ways both big and small.
More than anything, Brian will be remembered for the love he shared and the memories he created with family and friends. His laughter, his caring nature, and the lighthearted joy he brought to others will remain woven into the lives of those who loved him. Though our hearts grieve his absence, we find comfort in knowing that love does not end and memories live on.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Watson.
He is survived by his father, Archie Watson Jr. and wife, Marsha Watson; his children, Skylar Watson, Karissa Watson, and Aaryana Watson; his sister, Jennifer Edmiston and husband, Bill Edmiston, and their daughter, Ivy; his brother, Archie “Tray” Watson III and wife, Angela Watson, and their children, Christian, Barrett, and Aiden; along with extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his caring and generous spirit.
A memorial service celebrating Brian’s life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Keithville. Visitation will begin at 2 and service will follow at 2:30. Mr. Tim from the church will offer scripture and read Brian’s obituary, followed by words and memories shared by loved ones.
The family invites those attending to come ready to remember Brian not for how his story ended, but for the life he lived, the love he gave, and the joy he brought to those around him.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Matthew 5:4
