Graveside Services for Brenda Cates Johns will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 2:00 at Eppes Cemetery located next to the Shreveport Police Academy on Greenwood Road in Shreveport Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Brother Gary Boswell.

Brenda AKA, Sister and Aunt B, was born on July 15,1964 to Wesley and Camille Cates in Shreveport Louisiana and was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.

Brenda was preceded in Death by her husband of 23 years, Dale Johns, her father, Wesley Cates Sr., brother, Wesley Cates Jr. and wife, Karen Cates.

She is Survived by her mother, Camille Cates, brother, Michael Cates and wife, Daphne, sister-in-law, Linda Bennett, stepson, Robbie Johns, wife, Kim and their sons Nick, Anthony and Andy, Nephew, Shane Cates, nephew Cody Cates and wife, Jessica, niece, Danielle Beavers and fiance, Chris Jennings, niece, Krista Cates, numerous great nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, and dear friend, Katherine Pebenito.

Brenda worked as a nurse for many years and had a special gift of caring for others. Even in times of great struggle and trials her faith in God remained strong and very apparent that her hope was in him alone.

Anytime she was around, there was always lots of laughter and entertainment. If there was a storm brewing, she could be found right in the middle of it with her phone camera filming it. She loved a good Storm!

Brenda, we Love you and miss you so much, already. This is not goodbye…..but see you later!
