Brenda Carol Chandler Morgan passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at a Minden hospital at the age of 71.  She was born on February 6, 1952 to Leonard and Mary Ellen Chandler.  She loved her family most of all and will be leaving a legacy of love.

Brenda grew up in Shreveport and was a 1970 graduate of Woodlawn High School, but loved spending time at her grandparents' house in Saline.  She enjoyed Saline so much, she chose to make her life there.  She enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, and playing the piano.  She had started a new tradition of making quilts for her grandchildren as they got married or when a new baby came along.  She kept busy with her grandchildren's activities and teaching them how to cook.  Between carpooling, basketball, baseball, and soccer games, track meets, and theater shows, she was always involved.  Every one of her kids and grandkids friends became hers, too.  She loved walking the property she was gifted by her parents and grandparents in the Carolina community and would spend hours there dreaming about the possibilities of it.  She worked for the LSU AgCenter for over 20 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and oldest brother, Eddie Chandler.  She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Paul Morgan (of Saline); three children, son Jim Morgan and wife Nancy (of Minden), son Robby Morgan and wife Jennifer (of Castor), and daughter Amy Warren and husband John (of Castor); one brother, Gary Chandler and wife Linda (of Saline); 11 grandchildren (David and wife Hannah, Kenneth and wife Ivy, Brittany and husband Cameron, Kara and husband Andy, Laynie and husband Jared, Jacob, Macie, Johnathan, Nash, Ava, and Ella) and 2 great grandchildren (Paxton and Myles).  She also had many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends that were so dear to her.

A memorial service will be held at Carolina Baptist Church (253 Carolina Church Road, Saline, Louisiana 71070) on Saturday, February 3, 2024.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with the service immediately following, and will be officiated by Bro. Ken Roberts and Bro. Calvin Hubbard.
