Minister Bobby Joseph Glover gained his angel wings on August 20, 2021.
He was born in Forbing, Louisiana to Robert Glover and Ollie Dee Bailey.
Minister Bobby J. Glover accepted Christ at an early age at Mary Goula Baptist Church where the Rev. Moses Williams was his pastor. He graduated from high school in Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1977 he enlisted in the Army National Guard where he served his country until 1993. While in the military he studied theology and worked as a mechanic. Bobby J. Glover received his ordination under the leadership of Pastor Jimmy Mahoney of the Springfield Baptist Church. More recently he worshipped at Togetherness Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Marcus Franklin since 2013. Members referenced him as a dedicated hard worker and true worshipper. His favorite songs were: Jesus Is on The Main Line, Walk with Me Lord, and Made A Way by Travis Green.
Minister Bobby J Glover is preceded in death by his parents: Ollie Dee Bailey and Robert Glover; brothers: Floyd Ray Bailey and Donald Ray Bailey; sisters: Phillis Smith and Gloria Ann Latin. Those left to cherish his memories are sons: Bobby J. Carter, Robby J. Carter (Veverlyn Mathis Carter), Jermaine Carter, Tramaine Carter and John Paul Carter. Daughters: Wanda Glover Johnson and Shemekia Carter Bryant (John Bryant). Brothers: Robert Glover Jr. and Wilbert Glover. Sisters: Flossie E. Glover and Sadie Ann Bailey. Twelve grandchildren: Doninique, Meosha, Dayton, Kiara, LilliaMcKenzy, Sha'Coria, Destiny, TaDarius, Nashauna, TaCoby, John Paul Jr., Johnae. Two great grandchildren David Jr. and Reign Akai. With a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and church family. Loving fiance', Regina Sisco.
A memorial service will be held at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 11am.
The repast, following the memorial service, will be held at Togetherness Worship Center 8515 Linwood Avenue Shreveport, Louisiana 71106. During this time, the family would like to invite anyone who wishes to do so, to share their expressions.
