Bobbie Eugene
Watkins
August 7, 1941 – April 3, 2026
Bobbie Eugene Watkins, a devoted father, proud grandfather, cherished friend, and dedicated veteran, passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 84. He was born on August 7, 1941, in Wyandotte, Oklahoma, to Rosie and James Watkins.
He proudly served his country as a sergeant in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He carried that service with pride throughout his life-if you ever saw him out and about, he was likely wearing his Vietnam veteran hat.
He spent his career in the trucking industry, dedicating his life to the road. He retired as a Teamster, hauling new cars and building a legacy of hard work, reliability, and commitment.
Above all else, he loved his family. His grandchildren were the apple of his eye, and he was blessed to live close enough to be an active and present part of their lives. He especially enjoyed watching them play sports and cheering them on every chance he got. He found joy in life's simple pleasures-time with family, attending cowboy church, watching old westerns, mowing the grass, and of course, football. He will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, and for the way he made everyone around him feel valued and loved.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Lindsey and husband Bobby of Elysian Fields, Texas; grandchildren Brandon Wilkerson and wife Emma, of Denton, Texas, Ryan Wilkerson of Little Rock, AR; great grandchild Waylon Wilkerson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rosie Watkins; brothers, Albert Watkins and Charles (Ed) Watkins; and his beloved wife, Audrey Watkins, the love of his life.
Bobbie will forever be remembered as an exemplary man whose life was marked by service, love, and integrity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The memories shared with him will remain in our hearts always.
A graveside service will take place in Gallitzin, PA, at a later date.
