Bobbie Lou Byley Sowell was born on August 1, 1943 in San Augustine, Texas. The Lord called her home on July 29 ^th , 2021 at the age of 77.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Sowell; her daughter, Loutricia Sowell – Bonfanti; her son, George Sowell; and her parents, Alvis and Laverne Byley.

She is survived by her brother and his wife, Clifton and Gloria Byley; her daughter, Cornelia Sowell; her grandchildren, Linna Wells, Leslie Owen, Stephanie Sowell, James Sowell, and Robert Sowell; her six great grandchildren, Nathan, Autumn, Christian, Isaiah, Travionna, and Caleb; and numerous people that thought of her as family.

Bobbie or as many called her Meme, loved to crochet and be creative. She could crochet anything and was all too happy to bless others with her gifts made with yarn and love. She also loved her dog, Lovie and watching rerun movies on the Hallmark channel.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Legacy United Methodist Church in Haughton, Louisiana.
